Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card Review

If you had to guess which airline transports the most passengers every year, would your answer be Delta?  Well if it was, you’d be absolutely right as Delta Airlines continues to carry more passengers each year than any other airline.  I can tell you I’ve flown Delta a few times, without any problems or delays and if I had the excellent credit needed to own an airline miles credit card, the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express would definitely be in my wallet (lousy student loans!).

New members of the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express will earn 30,000 bonus miles toward Award Travel after you spend $500 on the Card within the first three months of Cardmembership..  Those 30,000 miles are good enough for a free flight on Delta and when you own this card, your first checked bag is always fee.  Check your first bag free on every Delta flight – that’s a savings of up to $200 per round trip for a family of four.

Earn As You Spend: Get 2X miles on Delta purchases and 1X miles for all other eligible dollars spent.  Cardholders of the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express will also receive Premium Travel Perks: Settle in sooner with Priority Boarding, and enjoy the skies with 20% in-flight savings to use toward meals, beverages, and movies awarded as a statement credit, which is a nice added perk I cannot find on any other airline mile credit card.

Here are a few other added benefits of owning the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express:

  • Receive priority boarding on Delta flights
  • Using your card covers eligible purchases from theft, damage, and loss, up to $1,000 per occurrence, for up to 90 days

A variable purchase APR of 15.24% – 19.24% can be found on the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express and if you’re late a few times with payment, you could fall into the penalty APR of 27.24%.  The purchase APR you’ll receive depends on just how excellent your credit is and $0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95 … giving you some time to decide if this card is right for you. Terms and Restrictions Apply.

As far as airline credit cards go, the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express is definitely one of the best.  A nice up-front bonus with a good rewards program, great perks and an “OK” APR makes this a must own for anyone that flies Delta airlines more than just once or twice a year.  The amount of money saved on flights and checked bags is easily in the hundreds of dollars annually (if not thousands for frequent fliers) and to own this card, visit the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express application page using any link found within.

  1. I like to drop the sign-up offer when evaluating a credit card. The companion gift certificate is a good benefit.
