Blue Sky Preferred from American Express $200 Cash Bonus

Earlier this year, we’ve published a few cash back credit cards that offer a $100 bonus.  Chase, Discover and Citibank have all decided to compete with each other and the last issuer to throw their hat into the ring is now American Express.  The Blue Sky PreferredSM from American Express is offering a $200 statement credit after you spend $1,000 on your new card within the first three months. When you look beyond the initial offer, this card just may be the best $200 cash back bonus offer around.

The $200 statement credit offered by the Blue Sky Preferred from American Express comes in the form of 15,000 rewards points.  You may notice right away that one rewards point on your Blue Sky Preferred from American Express is worth more than just the average penny from other issuers.  In this scenario, every rewards point you earn is worth 33% more than usual, so right there, you’re ahead of the game.

But that’s not the only reason to get excited.  In addition to a great intro offer, the Blue Sky PreferredSM from American Express also provides cardholders a $100 reimbursement on travel fees each and every year.  This means that when you fly, you can have American Express pick up the tab on checked baggage, in flight meals and entertainment, and any other obnoxious fee you might be charged when you travel.
