I’m currently waiting on the Dish Network installation guy to get to my house. I’ve waited like a prisoner in my own home for 4.5 hours of the 5 hour window. How come they (installers) never seem to come at the front-end of that time window?
I’m happy to be getting satellite though. It should lower our TV bill by $30 a month (we used a Dish Pronto deal). Plus, we have only one cable provider here (Time Warner), and they haven’t provided the best service over the past few month. We’re ready for a change. If only the guy would get here…

You have no knowledge of the "service" industry, which is as cut rate and cut throat as any business, and the so-called "employees" suffer the most. Like anyone they are just trying to make a living...but management maliciously saddles them with impossible workloads and low pay. In fact, most companies will not "hire" salaried employees, but only contractors - and they give the middle finger to a guy wanting to work above minimum wage levels. You must understand, installers are equivalent to Walmart workers in pay scale, and their "attitudes" are understandably reflected in their work. They are tired, frazzled, and disgusted by management. People....it is a management problem...not an installer problem.
