This Month Last Year on Prime Time Money

Can you believe I’ve been doing this blogging thing for more than a year and a half now? Below are some of my favorite posts from December 2007. That was right around the time I really started to consistently crank out some decent posts. Enjoy this retro Prime Time Money:

Charities: A Better Way to Say No – Just in time for Christmas season. This is one of my favorite life hacks for properly turning down charity requests.  You can’t help everyone all the time.  But you should be able to tell them no properly.  This post explains how I do it.

Complete List of CNN Money’s Millionaires in the Making Series – I did something CNN Money failed to do. I created a master list of all the Millionaire in the Making profiles they’ve featured on their website over the past few years.  Find out how far my list goes back, and see if you have what it takes to be a future millionaire.

How to Get $250 from Bank of America’s Best Value Mortgage Guarantee – Never apply for a mortgage without at least considering Bank of America. They have a program that will pay you an easy $250 just for checking them out. The details of how I got my $250 are in this post.

The Home Mortgage Process: How We Found the Right Lender for Our First Home Purchase – We bought our first home last year. See how we did it.

How I Set Up My Bank Accounts the Right Way – What an arrogant post title this is. I sure was confident back then, wasn’t I? Seriously though, I had a pretty sweet bank account setup.  If you’ve followed the blog, you know I’ve changed things up a bit, but the basics are still there: pay yourself first, automation, etc.

good point on the charity article, there are times to say yes and times to say no and you shouldn't have to look like a jerk if you say no. I like your simple, but kind response...
