Hawaiian Airlines Elite World MasterCard Review – 35,000 Bonus Miles

Hawaiian Airlines World MasterCardIf I were to ask you to pick one state you would want to vacation in, which would you choose?  Sure, some might say Florida, California, even South Dakota if you’re a “I love monuments” kind of guy; but I think the overwhelming majority would exclaim HAWAII.

Hawaiian Airlines has 29 different locations within the continental US which allow for flights to the Aloha state.  Not all of them are direct flights (unless you live on the West Coast, the only direct flight is from New York) and while the cost can be pretty expensive, a great way to defer flight fees would be to be to own the Hawaiian Airlines World MasterCard.

New cardholders of the Hawaiian Airlines World MasterCard stand to receive an up-front bonus of 35,000 miles when $1,000 is spent during the first 90 days of card ownership.  Similar to a few other airline miles credit cards on the market today, when you fly Hawaiian Airlines, your first checked bag will always be free (primary cardholder only; when you use this credit card to book your flight).  Also provided to new cardholders is a 50% off coupon for a companion ticket.  This coupon can be used for travel between Hawaii and North America OR on any Hawaiian Airlines flight.

Other important details on the Hawaiian Airlines Elite World MasterCard are as follows:

  • Double miles per dollar spent on all Hawaiian Airlines flights
  • Single miles per dollar spent on all other purchases
  • No foreign transaction fees on international purchases
  • $100 discount companion ticket every year you renew
  • 5,000 bonus miles awarded annually if you spend $10,000
  • Annual fee – $89

If you happen to be planning a trip to Hawaii in the not so distant future, and are looking for a way to ease the costs, the Hawaiian Airlines Elite World MasterCard can be a great help.  Just keep in mind that over time, the annual fee can eat away at the benefits if you’re not a frequent flyer (or even semi-frequent)
