I dry the blades after each shave and the disposable blade-packet things last me about a month before going dull. It's the water causing micro rust that makes the blade dull, not nearly as much as your using it - which is what we're led to believe. Try drying off the blades :) If your wife has a hair dryer out regularly, you can blow it dry in about 30 seconds after dabbing off the droplets. OR!
