It tastes identical, only it doesn't cost you but a few dollars in spices and the cost of a regular honey cured ham to make it. I know when we bought a HoneyBaked Ham for the holidays a few years ago, it was like $75 and was maybe a 12-13 lb ham. This way, you make it and it's more like $25 at most.
