My Bartering Skills
I’ve spent a good deal of time this week creating a DVD of home videos and picture slide shows. Not my own though. We have a friend who needed it done for her family. She knew we had computer skills and could get it done. Our friend didn’t pay us cash for our services though. She was able to do something directly for us as well. She’s building us a crib bumper for our baby girl, who’s arriving in a few months. Pretty cool, right?
My question to you today is, what can you barter? What services can you offer up? You may be missing out on some extra savings by keeping your skills to yourself.
Make a Bartering List
I challenge you to make two lists today, if only in your head. The first list should contain all the services you can offer up in a barter situation. The second should be a list of all the services you know you can get from friends and family. Next time you need something done, consult your barter list and see who might be willing to trade skills/services.
