Focus groups - going into an office and giving opinion on products/services ($45 - $200) 2. Medical research studies (not good if you're afraid of needles)   ($50 - $750)   For example, a few months ago I did a yogurt study. I filled out a short online blog and went into the office for 2 hours to talk about the yogurt. I left with $175 Visa Gift Card. I've done about 15 focus groups over the last 10 years. Easily have made $1000.  It truly is easy money.   For these, it helps if you live near a major city since you'll have access to major research hospitals (like in Boston) and most of the Focus group offices are in major cities.   Sources:  For medical research, go to Craigslist and look under "Volunteer" or "Etc." jobs. For focus groups: Google Focus Groups & your city.  Just get in the database and they call you when you might fit one of their demographic groups. 2 things I’m doing now to make money after having lost my FT job:
