With tax season over, my attention is turning to summer and possibly planning a vacation or two. I don’t have anything major in mind, just a few regional trips.
Gas is expected to rise a bit this summer, but not as much as we’ve seen in previous years. Good news for me, I guess, since I’ll be traveling by car most of the time.
Mint.com recently shared a nice infographic displaying the numbers behind the rise in vacation spending they are seeing this year.
Lastly, The Times just ran a piece on Saving on Summer Travel you should check out if you’re still in the planning mode. If you’re a super planner check out a site called Budget Your Trip.

Awesome, Ron! That’s definitely on my list of trips to take one day.
We’re not going anywhere this year as this summer we’re having our first child. I have a feeling we won’t have much time or money fo travel.
Thankfully we did quite a bit of travel to Florida, the east coast and some regional trips last year. Getting our travel in before the tyke comes!
My vote is somewhere beachy!
