It’s Financial Literacy Month! Today is the first day of a month-long focus on financial education at www.financialliteracymonth.com and other participating websites, including the NFCC.org, who is rolling out a new website DebtAdvice.org later this month. This month long effort is put on by Money Management International.

30 Steps – Since there are 30 days in the month of April, they’ve designed 30 steps you can take to lead you towards financial wellness. Head over and take the first step.

Tips and Gadgets- In this area you’ll find quick tips from personal finance bloggers, an area to submit your own tips, gadgets you can install on your Google and Facebook pages. Also, I encourage you to visit the Tools for Success page, which contains several calculators and worksheets to help you gain control of your financial scene.

I highly encourage you to check out the site and browse through the tips and guides.  Make a commitment to improve your personal financial situation today.

If you have kids that are at the beginning stages of their financial education, I encourage you to bring them along.
