I also threw a huge graduation party which was rather expensive. I also bought a new car (Scion tC) which I financed. So it was a very unfrugal year for me, but I don’t regret either thing.

Yep, for a 32″ LCD, not a bad deal at all. Free Shipping too!!!!

With the baby furniture, we got lucky and got a roomful for 300 bucks on Ebay. Luckily, she has slept in her crib every night, and it’ll turn into a toddler/twin bed, so we’ll get the money’s worth from that.

We could’ve skipped the crib and co-slept, but I need my space when sleeping!!!

we just bought a mattress too. with a baby on the way, the extra room is nice.

We bought a new tv at Christmas. At 400 bucks it was a good deal, and I’ve been putting off my husband for almost a year for it. I told him we had to pay off our new mattress first (which while unfrugal moneywise, it’s been heaven for our sleep) before new tv. We paid it off, so, there ya go.

Well, my husband got laid off one month before our wedding. But we’d spent the last two years paying down debts and living carefully. So we decided to go on our honeymoon anyway.

We stayed at cheap hotels — the most expensive was $33 a night — and tried to eat cheaply. But we went to theme parks and had a blast. (Tickets to Orlando were free with credit card miles.)

We really needed to break loose, so I don’t regret it. But it did add to our debt, as did the month he was unemployed but not collecting unemployment because the wedding planning kept us too busy.

@The Happy Rock – Money spent on good times with friends is well spent, I say. As long as it didn’t create debt. Congrats again on the MBA.

@Mrs. PT – Agreed. But it taste so good!

@Studenomics – Wish I could cut my own hair. I think you have to have a certain hair type. Doesn’t work for me.

@Karen – Yes, the TV is a good one. $2500! That’s a nice TV. Oh, if I was forced to watch NASCAR I’d buy a second TV too.

We purchased ANOTHER HD TV for our recroom (when already have one in the living room)at a cost of $2,500. Was it worth it? I don’t know yet. Ask me when I don’t have to watch yet another hours-long NASCAR race when the new season starts up soon.

Where do I start? Going on vacation, going out, going to sporting events, and not cutting my own hair (something I’ve seen listed on many blogs). Do I regret it? Not at all. As much money as I do try saving I understand the importance of enjoying your life so that you don’t grow old and look back to realize that you have not done anything in your life.

Ours was probably a surprise party for my MBA completion at a restaurant for 20+ people. I did get money as congratulations, but the party still cost a bunch.
