AnnualCreditReport.com is Not a Scam
AnnualCreditReport.com remains the only free, “no strings attached” method for checking all three of your credit reports. You can check your credit reports (EquiFax, Experian, TransUnion) with annualcreditreport.com once a year for free.
From the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (ftc.gov):
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies — Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion — to provide you with a free copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months.
After the Act was passed, the three agencies got together and created annualcreditreport.com.
How to Check Your Credit Reports and Why?
If you’ve never checked your credit reports, I recommend going to annualcreditreport.com right now and printing off all three reports. If you’ve previously checked your credit reports, I recommend starting a rotation: check one of the three reports every four months.

I completely agree with you. I actually tried some other companies but for annualcreditreport is the winner.
Most of us don’t even wish to spend money on credit report check.
However, some paid services do keep track of suspicious activities and let you know realtime if something doesn’t look right.
Amen brother! i love that place
Thank for your post. It is advantage for me.
I keep getting this message “A condition exists that prevents us from being able to accept your request at this time.” Why can’t I get to the web page and do it online instead of calling their phone number that no person answers? Thanks
I get the same message _ “a condition prevents us from being able to accept your request at this time.” I believe that it is possibly due to my subscribing to the credit service that is offered, then canceling within the 30 day trial period. I read up on some of the ripoff reports, but I am not sure….My friend tried it, who has never before used annnualcreditreport.com, and it worked fine on her computer. I have 5 computers in my house and they all say the same thing. So I think something happened, somehow that gave the website my location, and now NONE of my computers allow me to check the damn service. Not even sure that can happen, but I can’t think of anything else. My computer is BRAND new, 2 weeks old.
