Life’s been hectic lately. We have a ton going on. We also have friends and family having to get out of the way of Hurricane Gustav. In the midst of everything, I’m trying to prepare for my weekend trip to Omaha, NE for the FNBO Direct’s Pay Yourself First Challenge official kick-off weekend. Here’s what I’ve been doing to prepare:
- Doing a lot of walking and running while listening to Marketplace Money Podcast. I’d like to be in my best shape for the photo and video shoot that FNBO will be doing.
- Since Liz Pulliam Weston will be involved in the weekend, I thought I’d get a head start and read her book prior to the weekend. Just yesterday I ordered Easy Money: How to Simplify Your Finances and Get What You Want out of Life (Liz Pulliam Weston)
, her latest. Ironically, I used the $10 Amazon gift card (that I received just for submitting the FNBO video to the contest) to make the purchase. How much you want to bet she gives us all a free copy the weekend of the kickoff?

- Purchased Mrs. PT’s ticket to Omaha directly through MidWest Airlines. This is the only expense FNBO Direct wouldn’t cover for us. I was able to find a coupon code online that save us around $125 on the ticket price. Nice!
