Fantasy Football Draft Weekend & The PrimeTime QuickHits

by PT | Print Print |

Every year I play a little fantasy football.  This year is no exception.  In fact, I’ll be in four leagues this year.  Crazy, I know.  While I’ve done the fantasy leagues before, I’ve never participated in a live draft.  This weekend I went to my first live fantasy football draft.  It really was a great time.  I highly recommend it.  We held it at a local restaurant, which worked out great considering how long the draft was.  Needless to say, I am pleased with my picks, and I’m sure to dominate this season.  :)

    A little fantasy football? Four leagues?!? Haha. I’ve been there. I’m towards the end of the season in fantasy baseball and looking forward to fantasy basketball.

    PT- Thanks for mentioning my post.

    I envy the time you have for fantasy football. My son is into it big time. Throw us a little inside info – who are your sleepers at QB, RB, and WR this year?

    @Mr ToughMoneyLove

    I like Delhomme and Rogers as sleepers. Both can be had in late rounds. Both should be solid second QBs and possible #1 QBs.

    For RBs it’s harder to say who the sleepers are. There’s some talk about Michael Turner in ATL…I just hate going with guys on really bad teams. I’d say maybe Jonathan Stewart (rookie) or Jamal Lewis (vet who gets a ton of carries). All three can be had late in the RB picking.

    WR sleepers I like: Bernard Berrian, Jerico Cotchery, & Jerry Porter. All should have better seasons this year and will be available late in the draft.

    Hope that helps. Good luck.

    Uh-oh, sounds like you’re getting a head start;)
    I have my live draft this Thursday, so I need to do some studying. I did get lucky and draw the 1st pick though!

    I’d dig playing some fantasy football if I had the memory or time. I know it takes dedication – I can imagine that 4 of them keeps you even busier!!! :)
