QuickHits and Best Of July 2008

Best Of: July 2008

July is officially over. It’s been another busy month. I had a lot going on personally and here on the blog: we took a week or two to do our mid-year financial check-up, we paid off one of our car loans, learned about some frugal vacations we could take, did a book review of (Not) Keeping Up With Our Parents, shared some frugal things to do in Dallas, TX, talked about secured and unsecured debt, and created a dashboard-style view of our finances. Told ya…busy. Still, I didn’t get to share an update on our savings and debt reduction goals. That, I promise, will come early in August.

I want to thank those that sent the most visitors this way in July:

Some quality readers stopped by and as a result our subscribers are now up above 300. If YOU haven’t subscribed yet, I encourage you to do it so you won’t miss another post and have to worry about coming back to the actual site…the content will come to you. Subscribe to Prime Time Money.

QuickHits

As for the Money Life Network, this month we did a group writing project covering Frugal Things To Do In… (your area). This, we hope, will become a great resource for people looking for low-cost things to do in either the place they live or the place they’re visiting. I, as you read above, took Dallas. If you’re town’s not covered be sure and do your own post. Let us know and we’ll link to you and add you to our map.

In honor of the writing project, instead of sharing the normal QuickHits, I’ll just share the Money Life Network member’s “frugal things to do” posts:

Have a great weekend.
