Something came in the mail yesterday that got Mrs. PT and I pretty excited: the title for our car!  We own that thing free and clear now since we finished paying off the note.  It’s been a while since I’ve seen a title and I was really proud to have it.  Anyway, I thought I’d share that bit of debt reduction excitement for the day.  Got a debt-reduction story?  Share it with me using my contact page.

No blog carnival entries this week.  Here are some quick hits for you:

Need a new system to help you organize your finances?  Check out the bills-in-a-box system that NCN from No Credit Needed is Sharing.  I’ll be keeping up with this series to see if it’s something I’d like to implement for myself.

Ever felt like you shouldn’t be living where you are?  David from My Two Dollars shares 5 ways to determine where you should be living your life.

Frugal Dad identifies the “why” when it comes to becoming debt free.  It’s best to keep the “why” in the fore front of your mind when talking debt reduction.  That seems to make the process feel a bit easier.

And some gems from the Money Life Network:

Kacie from Sense to Save asks, “what’s your favorite drug store?”  I’m partial to the ole Eckerds myself.  Gotta love those little drug store carts.  Seriously though, Kacie’s talkin’ deals.  Mrs. PT’s favorite for the deals is CVS.

Emily’s husband has checked a few things off the honey-do list.  See the list and the pics over at Remodeling This Life.  Great job on the tile!

What are your thoughts on investing in beer? Frank from Milk Your Money recently asked that question.  See what he means and give him your opinion.

Pete from Bible Money Matters explains the difference between needs and wants. Taking the time (i.e. being intentional) to examine major purchases in your life like this will really improve your bottom line.

Have you ever dealt with financial problems with a loved one?  FFB from Free From Broke examines this topic and gives some tips for making the best of a bad financial situation.

Hank from My Investing Blog presents how to buy a home with no money down.  You too can own your own home in just 8 easy steps.  Check it out. Too lazy to read? A video included for your convenience.  ;)

Congrats on the title. Make sure your insurance company knows that the title is yours know. When I had my car accident my insurance co. still had the dealer as the title holder.

And thanks for the mention!
