Tax Rebate (Economic Stimulus) Information
The big news going into the weekend was how our tax rebate check may come a bit early. I asked the readers what they would be doing with their checks. Here are a few of the responses:
“We plan to save ours – take that patriotic shoppers!”
“…I will use it to pay down debt.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing my savings account grow!”
“…straight to the debt snowball!”
“Sorry Uncle Sam, I’m using mine to save for future expenses. Will help pay for son’s last semester of college next spring.”
I love it. Two things Prime Time Money is all about: Saving Money and Getting Out of Debt. I’m impressed with the responses. Thanks for sharing everyone. Mrs. PT and I are hoping to do the same. We will try and have some fun with a small portion of the rebate though.

Still need more rebate info? Rocketc from Rocket Finance put together a compilation of posts filled with everything you need to know about the tax rebate. Check it out.
Welcome New Readers!
I want to take a quick moment to welcome my new readers who’ve joined since I began the $50 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway. I try and do one of these roundups every weekend to (1) link back to the blog carnivals I participated in this past week, and (2) bring to your attention some of the interesting posts I’ve noticed from other personal finance bloggers this past week.
I’ll be back Monday with a regular post. And while I don’t stick to a strict schedule, I try and write two or three content-rich posts during the week on varying personal finance topics, along with a couple of extras thrown in (i.e. breaking news or the latest freebie). Have an idea for a post or want to share a guest post? Use my contact form to let me know.
