Beer and Deer
Tonight, Mrs. PT and I are going to a friend’s annual “Beer and Deer” party. It’s called this because the guy throwing the party reveals his homemade beer brew, and they serve deer meat that he has left over after season. I’m not a huge fan of deer, but I do like the occasional beer. While I usually stick to a basic domestic version, it’s always fun to sample someone’s homemade brew, as long as it’s ice cold! While I know most of these home brewer types do this for just a hobby, I wonder how much money, if any, he saves in a year by making his own?
This past week on Prime Time Money, I intentionally dialed it back a bit and didn’t post as much. Going forward I’m hoping to provide at least three quality, in-depth articles a week, followed by a couple of “quick hits” and the roundup. This should allow me a better work/life/blog balance.

I envy you…beer and deer…yum.
Thanks for the link – enjoy the beer!
Mike
Beer and deer night. I love it! I have a friend who has a lot of money invested in brewing equipment. He makes excellent beer. I’m not sure if he really saves money (well, at least after buying all the equipment), but it is his biggest hobby, and he love brewing, so that is what matters. Thanks for the mention!
Beer and Deer night! Sounds like something my husband’s friend would do! LOL
Thanks for the mention and the reminder to submit to the carnival. I haven’t done that yet!
Thanks for the mention.
Mmm, Beeeer. Beer GOOOD.
Yeah, I’m not a big fan of Bambisteaks either, but a good quality home-brew is worth the taste.
Beer and Deer! I hope you live nearby, that sounds yummy. Work/life/blog balance… I love it… let us know how it goes.
