The Cost To Play Golf Like Tiger in Dubai

I just read that Tiger Woods is currently leading the Dubai Desert Classic.  A tournament that’s played at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai.  Since I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about the tremendous growth and wealth of Dubai lately, I thought I’d see what the green fees are to play at that course which has been dubbed “The Desert Miracle”.

Turns out it’s around 825Dhs (Dirhams), roughly translates to $225USD, to play 18 holes of golf there.  Not as bad as I thought, but still way more than I’ll ever spend to play golf.  I’m not much a golfer now because (1) I’m not that good, and (2) it’s too expensive.  I’d rather spend my money on things I’m good at.  However, in college, where we had a university course, I played for $3 a round, and only $7 if I wanted a cart.
