No Free Pizza for You! Read the Coupon Fine Print

by PT on January 11, 2008

Mrs. PT just informed me that we would not be getting a free pizza tonight for dinner.  Bummer.  The little pizza shop by her work has given us two coupons in the mail on two different occasions for free pizza.  The coupons came in two separate ”welcome to the neighborhood” packages.  The first one worked out great:  We called our order in, she picked it up on the way home, and all was good.

This time, and we didn’t initially notice, but they changed the coupon to “dine in” only.  I guess the first time around they had everyone taking the pizza and running out without making any further purchases.  So, since the place is all the way out by Mrs. PT’s workplace (far enough from my workplace and our home to deter us from going), we most likely won’t use the coupon.  Anyway, this is just a quick reminder to check the fine print every time you think you have a sweet coupon.

Ouch! I’ve had one or two coupons like that before. A lot of times I just go away like you did! Oh, well. :)

Thanks for entering the Festival of Frugality and supporting it. Glad you found my Digg account as well. It’s always nice to make new friends. ;)
