How to Build a Home - First Inspection
We’re having a home built by D.R. Horton. I’ve been posting information on the steps to building a home, along with pictures and information I’m gathering along the way. Here’s the latest and greatest: I learned, as noted in my last post, that before they, the builder, can pour the concrete for the foundation, they must pass the first inspection. So, I went by the home site the day after the inspection was to take place. Conveniently, the inspection package was on site, in a plastic bag, crudely attached to a two x four. So, I took it upon myself to snap some photos of the results. As you can see, the construction passed inspection.

As a result, over the weekend, they poured the foundation and began framing the house. I’ll have some pics of that up soon. Check out the next post in this series here.
